Boating Safety Tip of the Day
Tip of the Day: Marine VHF

Your marine VHF radio is the BEST way to contact the Coast Guard in the event of an emergency. While it is nice to have a cellular telephone in some cases the marine VHF radio is the preferred and best way to contact the Coast Guard when your vessel is in distress. No related posts.

After nine years FSO Public Education Bill Noyes stepped down from this post. Bill’s service as Public Education FSO has been outstanding over the years. Thousands of boaters in the Southern Maryland have benefited from his knowledge and experience. As a mentor to new instructors he has helped to shape and hone their training skills.

Bill has agreed to stay on to advise the Flotilla’s new FSO Public Education, J.T. West.  J.T. is ready to take on 2010 classes.
