Boating Safety Tip of the Day
Tip of the Day: Marine VHF

Your marine VHF radio is the BEST way to contact the Coast Guard in the event of an emergency. While it is nice to have a cellular telephone in some cases the marine VHF radio is the preferred and best way to contact the Coast Guard when your vessel is in distress. No related posts.

: Click over to our Commandant’s blog. This morning he posted about he and the President both telephoning deployed military personnel to wish them a Merry Christmas. The President called all of the services including the Coast Guard and Admiral Allen telephoned deployed Coast Guard. Great idea and a wonderful surprise for our and service men and women.

All of the members of the Drum Point Flotilla send warm greetings and hearty merry Christmas to all of the Guardians serving on the holiday wherever they are.  You are always in our thoughts and prayers.
