Internet Link Policy

NOTICE/DISCLAIMER Links to non-Coast Guard entities are not under the control of the United States Coast Guard or the United States Coast Guard Auxiliary, and are provided for the convenience of our customers. They do not, in any way, constitute an endorsement of the linked pages or any commercial or private issues or products presented there. We cannot make any warranty or representation concerning the content of these sites, or secondary sites from the pages to which they link.

Our Link Benefits

All links on this website have a benefit to the mission of our members and the public we serve in Southern Maryland.  Members need a proper starting point to locate sources of official information they need to perform their tasks and duties. The public needs to know who we are what we do so all information, content, and links  provided about the flotilla, boating safety, and related topics are intended to localize that information for Southern Maryland. Whenever possible the public is encouraged to visit the original source of information used on the site.

Broken Links

It is our intent to maintain a website with no broken links.  This in mind, we ask all of our users/customers to alert us to broken links by using the contact link at the main menu. We will disable links to outside pages where no new link is found. The Coast Guard and Drum Point Flotilla are not responsible for broken links on websites other than our own.

Linking to Other Sites

We cannot link to websites that have no intrinsic benefit to the mission of our members or the boating public. We believe that all of our current links have value to our members and the boating public. We cannot link to businesses or commercial interests as a matter of Coast Guard policy.

No Fee Received

Drum Point Flotilla receives NO remuneration from anyone, any company, commercial interest, or group when adding outside links. We do not offer link exchanges even though we do encourage Internet sites in Southern Maryland to link to us. We encourage linking to our site to help us increase awareness of the Coast Guard Auxiliary mission in Southern Maryland, boating safety, and America’s Waterway Watch.

We block all commercial bots that harvest website data and resell the data commercially. There is nothing for resale at this site.
