Post Policy and Terms of Use
The members of Drum Point Flotilla, it’s Public Affairs, Leadership, Computer, and Communications staff provide Coast Guard Auxiliary services within the U.S. Coast Guard Baltimore Sector in AOR 14 and other areas as assigned. The goal of this website is to provide timely information about the flotilla for its members as well as boating safety information to the general public.
We hope you enjoy the articles presented here and encourage you to join the blog-format discussion. We welcome your comments. Anonymous posting is not allowed. We encourage you to use your real name or a pseudonym when leaving comments. A valid email address is required to create an account. We will delete abusive posts and block the posters. We expect all contributors to be respectful. We will not post comments that contain personal attacks of any kind; refer to Coast Guard employees by name not mentioned in the corresponding article; contain offensive terms that target specific ethnic or racial groups, or vulgar language. We will delete information deemed sensitive or classified, all spam, comments that are clearly off topic or that promote services or products.

Users who post to the Drum Point Flotilla website with approval and posting authority should review and become familiar with the policy set forth in the following documents before posting the site. Posts are screened by a designated representative to ensure adherence to the policies concerning the release of information.
All posts should be made with COMSEC in mind. We never speculate. We may discuss what we do and refer the public to the appropriate command in the Coast Guard in Sector Baltimore that can respond to their question or concern. We may also refer citizens to the Maryland Department of Natural Resources Police for law enforcement matters.
Publicly available email addresses used by members should be drumpoint.org email addresses or the email address is hidden by software.
