Member Email

DrumPoint.org E-mail Address

Members may request a DrumPoint.org email address. A flotilla email address allows the member to send flotilla emails without having to use a personal email account. A DrumPoint.org e-mal address can be displayed on this website when the member chooses, so that members of the public can contact the member directly. The privacy of the member is protected and the organizational image of the flotilla is improved.

These addresses also allow the flotilla to maintain informational email addresses as required. Informational addresses in accounts that are checked by an assigned member(s) of the flotilla on a regular basis.  DrumPoint.org addresses an be used on printed materials and notices thus presenting a professional appearance. The member does not have to use their personal email address.

Email Details

The DrumPoint.org e-mail accounts can either be accessed by a web browser or as a typical SMTP based account using an email client. The member makes the choice.

The browser interface has the advantage that the member can check e-mail from anywhere there is a computer with Internet access. Plenty of storage space is available to save messages and attachments.

Recognizable Addresses

The DrumPoint.org e-mail address is a highly recognizable address for Southern Maryland. Persons that the member works with on a regular basis using e-mail will recognize the address as being from their local Coast Guard Auxiliary Flotilla. The person receiving the e-mail is less likely to think the message is spam and then disregard or delete it.
