Buoy Data from Buoys in and around our AOR

NOAA National Data Buoy Center Buoy data as well as marine weather forecasts and SAR data. Use your weather radio on board your vessel for the latest reports. These RSS feeds can also be used on smart phones inside free RSS readers. Internet access is all you need. However you get the data, use it to evaluate whether you should or should not venture out on the water.

Don’t forget to check the tides for the duration of the trip.  Does any part of your voyage depend upon knowing your draft and the tide? Or your mast height and a bridge clearance?
