Cold Weather Training
Each year, Auxiliarists in Baltimore Sector that desire to participate in cold weather safety patrols must first complete cold water immersion training using a dry suit. Sector has created two documents with information crew members need to read regarding this training:
Serving as crew in cold weather requires considerable awareness of the safety risks. Arrange to take this training when announced by the FSO-MT.
The Coast Guard Auxiliary and the U.S. Power Squadrons also inspect kayaks and other paddle craft.
